About SepticMatch
SepticMatch (septicmatchusa.com) is a referral service for homeowners who need septic work and want to talk to one local company. We exist because septic work is hard to price, easy to put off and decided at the county level, and the public information is scattered across health department pages.
What we are, and what we are not
We are not a septic company. We employ no pumpers, installers or inspectors, hold no septic license and set no prices. We write the guides, tools and county pages, and we send requests to companies that work the county.
We are paid by the company that receives a request. That is stated on every page that asks for your details.
Why we match by county
Most septic rules are local, and the answer to "does a sale need an inspection?" or "does a repair need a permit?" is usually at the county health department. So each county page is written from that department's own pages, and when a page is silent on a rule, the county page says that instead of guessing.
How we work
Pages are written from sources, dated and corrected in the open. The editorial policy says how, and the contact page is where to report a mistake.
